Urbino is 4 km from Ca'Lajala (5 min driving). Fano is the closest beach (rocks or sand); it's about 35 Km (20-25 min driving) freeway from here. Rome and Venice are about 3-4 hrs. driving. Fascinating historical and art cities are also possible to reach on a 1-day-trip like Gubbio (60 km), Perugia (100 km), Assisi (100 km), Rimini (60 km), Ravenna (90 km), Arezzo (100 km), Siena (150 km), S. Leo (60 km).

How to get to Ca'Lajala:

From Bologna, Forlì, Rimini

Highway A14, exit Pesaro-Urbino, to Urbino

a. Reach the first roundabout and follow it, take the 3rd road uphill (Cesane, Torre S.Tommaso)- b. Drive ahead for about 500 m., keep the right folllowing the sign to S.Bernardino, Mausoleo dei Duchi (Via S. Bernardino). - c. Keep driving along the main road bending to the left.- d. After 500 m. take to the right to S. Eufemia, S.Marino. It is an asphalted but rather narrow road. - e. Keep driving for about 1.5 km on the asphalted road, then take to the right to S. Eufemia (Via S. Eufemia). The road is now unasphalted and lies on top of the hill. Drive on for about 1 km and you'll soon get to Ca'Lajala: it is the 2nd hate to the left side of the road..

From Ancona

Highway A14, exit Fano, to Urbino

Follow the freeway to Urbino.1 km. past the little town of Canavaccio you'll get to a small bridge (1) and a group of houses (2), after that to a second narrow bridge (3). 200-300 m after it, take to the right into Via Molino del Piano (4). Follow this road for about 1.5 km (after 200 m. it turns into an unasphalted road). You'll get to a crossroads: turn right following the road sign to Urbino. The first house to the right is Ca'Lajala.

From Roma, Perugia, Gubbio

On the freeway, past the long Furlo tunnel follow the sign to Urbino. When you get out of the freeway continue as above "from Ancona".
